On arrival at the Museum, take advantage of the light refreshments available in the Museum Shop before you begin your visit round our 45 acre site. Refreshments include :

Ticket Office Cafe
There is some seating in the shop area and picnic tables in Astleham Garden just outside the Ticket Office, with the splendid Edwardian Public Conveniences nearby.

During major special events, the Cafe often offers barbequed food, including quarter pounders and jumbo sausages

Groups are welcome to use the cafe when they visit the Museum or they can pre-book lunches, evening get-together's or afternoon tea

All adult buffets include: -

  • A selection of sandwiches tailored to your specific needs.
  • A selection of snack foods e.g. mini pork pies and mini vegetarian pies, gala pie sausage rolls and various quiches
  • Also included are meat platters, cheese platters and salads with dressings
  • Desserts includes cake from the Handmade Cake Company, a selection of crisps and a fruit basket
  • Hot drinks are included

All buffet with barbeques will include:-

All groups requiring cake must pre-book to avoid disappointment.

  • All buffets can be tailored to your groups individual needs. Alternative choices may incur an increased cost.
  • Facilities are limited but we can organise external caterers if numbers or menu choices require it
  • Discounts are available for pre-booked groups
  • Minimum group numbers for the buffet are 10. Numbers must be confirmed no later than 7 days before the visit and all confirmed numbers must be paid for. A non-refundable deposit of 50% must be paid 7 days beforehand. The remainder is due on the day of your visit.
