SID KIPPER RETURNS TO CHALFONT ST PETER |
For those of you who enjoyed his show in 2008 then please note the date now (and tell your friends).
Friday 1 October 2010 in the Chalfont St. Peter Community Centre at 8 pm sees the return of the iconic Sid Kipper with his show celebrating 25 years as a social commentator/folk megostar ( the latter his own words).
The new show is called "Silver Darlings" and tickets are £10 each (£5 for under 16's). There will be a licensed bar and also a tea/coffee bar. Tickets are available by calling 01494 871465.
"Silver Darling" is an old Norfolk fisherman's term for the herring - which at one time meant wealth around the coast line of Norfolk. In this case the silver darlings are Sid's greatest hit songs - we have requested that whatever songs he performs, he includes one with that unique instrumental accompaniment, the walnut shells.
If you haven't seen him before, check out his website - www.sidkipper.co.uk |
