Outreach sessions are available as a pre– or post– visit service. They have been designed to help
support your curriculum.
|
Key Stage One |
Where do I belong? |
Your class will be introduced to some of the houses that are at the Museum and their place in the
historical timeline. Using investigative skills to identify and sort objects from the houses, your class will
match the objects to the correct house and time period. The objects chosen will relate to domestic
items that many of the children will be familiar with in their own homes.
Length: 1 hour |
Key Stage Two |
The Victorian Country Child |
| The children will be introduced to some children’s characters from the homes and other Victorian
areas at the Museum. In smaller groups they will be encouraged to use investigative skills to find out
about each of these children by looking at objects from the time.
Length: 1 hour |
Making do |
Using four sets of objects the children will be able to use investigative skills to find out more about the
lives of four characters during the 1940s.
Length: 1 hour |
Key Stage Three
|
The Traditional Farm |
Using period objects your class can discover how farm labourers worked in the past.
We are able to support Medieval Realms, the Agrarian Revolution or Victorian Britain with our
collection.
Length: 1 hour |
Cost |
One Outreach session per day = £120.00
Two Outreach sessions per day = £200.00
