Work Experience Placements

Each year the Museum is able to offer work experience placements for students aged 16 years and over. We are able to offer a 'Museum Assistant' role where students can gain a broad understanding of an open air museum. Each student has the ability to undertake tasks within the education and visitor service offices, as well as helping to preserve the historic buildings, artefacts and site. Students also have the opportunity to concentrate on just one of these areas.

For school students, 1 or 2 week placements are available, and the Museum is registered with the Buckinghamshire Education Business Partnership.

Further education students are welcome for short or long term project based placements.

All placements are subject to an informal interview and, for students under the age of 18 years, a signed and completed parental consent form.
