Special late opening for Museums at Night 4 pm – 8.30 pm (last admission 7.30 pm)
As part of the national after-dark experience ‘Museums at Night’ the Museum, in Chalfont St Giles, will open for a unique and exciting family evening event with a ‘Magic and Myths’ theme. Families can enjoy spending the evening exploring the Museum’s historic buildings lit up by candle, lantern and firelight, taking a magical walk through the woods and trying their hands at fairytale crafts and activities. Visitors are encouraged to join in the fancy dress competition with prizes for the best ones.
Why not treat yourself to a yummy burger, hot dog or bacon roll from the BBQ on the Village Green? Jacket potatoes, sandwiches, snacks, cakes, ice creams and hot and cold drinks will also be available, along with a selection of premium local beer and tasty cider, as well as Pimms.
Advance booking is advised.
(The Museum will be open as usual from 10am, but the Enchanted Museum event will not start until 4pm. Visitors are welcome to arrive early and enjoy exploring the Museum.)
