As part of the national after-dark experience ‘Museums at Night’ the Museum, in Chalfont St Giles, will open for a unique and exciting family evening event. The event will have a magical Enchanted theme. Families can enjoy an evening of storytelling in the museum’s historic buildings, lit up by candle, lantern and firelight for you to explore. Visitors are encouraged to join in the fancy dress competition with prizes for the best ones. Advance booking is advised.

Everyone is encouraged to dress up for our Enchanted Museum event.


  • Explore the Museum’s collection of historic buildings at night, lit up by candles and lanterns and take part in family activities.
  • Children’s fancy dress competition.
  • Try out some enchanted crafts.
  • Treat yourself to warm refreshments, Pimms and local Chiltern beer.
  • Candle making (small additional charge).
  • Bring a picnic or enjoy a light meal or tasty snack from the Museum’s historic Furniture Factory Tea Room.
  • Standard Admission prices apply. Free entry for Annual Pass holders.
