Annual Pass Terms and Conditions

Your Annual Pass provides free admission to Chiltern Open Air Museum for twelve months from the date of purchase, during the Museum’s open season (details of which are available on the Museum’s website www.coam.org.uk).

The number of adults and/or children entitled to free admission will be shown on the Pass, and any additional group members not covered by the Pass will be charged for admission at the Museum’s standard prices.

The Annual Pass, which carries a unique reference number, must be kept safely and securely, and produced on each entry to the Museum. It remains the property of Chiltern Open Air Museum and cannot be sold or exchanged.

Annual Pass holders may choose to take advantage of FREE membership of the Friends of Chiltern Open Air Museum and/or email updates on special events and e-newsletters throughout the year.

Definitions

‘Adult’ refers to any person over 18 years of age who does not qualify as a Concession.

‘Concession’ refers to any person over the age of 65, or who is registered disabled, student or unemployed (evidence will be required).

‘Child’ refers to a child aged between 4 and 16. Children aged under 4 will not be charged for admission and therefore do not need to be included on an Annual Pass, but on the first renewal after the Child’s fourth birthday they will need to be paid for if they are to be included on the renewed Annual Pass.

‘Joint’ refers to two persons living at the same address.

Orders

The placing of an order constitutes your acceptance of Chiltern Open Air Museum’s Terms and Conditions of trading but does not constitute the creation of a contract. Chiltern Open Air Museum reserves the right to decline to process an order for any reason whatsoever and if an order cannot be fulfilled, will promptly refund all monies.

Availability and validity

The Annual Pass is valid for twelve months from the date of purchase, during the Museum’s open season (details of the Museum’s seasonal closure may be found on the Museum’s website). You are free to use the Pass as many times as you wish during its validity period and, with the exception of the Halloween Spectacular event or other events to which Annual Pass holders specifically are invited, there is no need to pre-book your attendance.

The expiry date of each Pass is printed on it, and the Pass is not valid for use after this expiry date.

Restrictions

The Pass may not be used whilst the Museum is closed (details of closures are available on the Museum’s website).

The Annual Pass will be valid for all events to which regular Museum admission prices apply. It will not be valid for special fundraising events such as ‘Chiltern Warrior’ which are intended to raise funds for the Museum, nor will it be valid on Experience Days, for which a separate, bespoke voucher must be ordered and paid for. For the Halloween Spectacular event, Annual Pass holders will be asked to pay an additional fee.

In unforeseen circumstances or for reasons beyond our control, special events may very occasionally have to be cancelled at short notice. No refund will be available if this should be the case.

Some activities available at Chiltern Open Air Museum may incur a small additional charge for both regular visitors and Annual Pass holders. Such activities may include (but are not limited to) face painting, candle making, have-a-go archery, visits to Father Christmas etc. where these are available.

Prices and combination passes

We reserve the right to vary the prices of, and available combinations for, the Annual Passes which we offer. Prices shown include V.A.T when and where applicable.

Despatch

Chiltern Open Air Museum cannot be held responsible for any goods or items (such as, for example, gift packs where ordered) damaged in the post or any postal delays.

Security

Your Annual Pass must be kept securely, and is invalid if altered or tampered with. Chiltern Open Air Museum accepts no liability in these circumstances.

Replacement passes

Annual Passes must be produced on each entry to the Museum: entry will not be allowed if a valid Pass cannot be shown. If lost, your Annual Pass may be replaced upon payment of an administration fee of £5. The replacement Pass will carry the same expiry date as the original, which will no longer be valid.

Renewals

We will contact you at least one calendar month before your Annual Pass is due to expire, to offer you the opportunity to renew it.

If the price of your Annual Pass has increased, or you wish to add an extra person or persons, you will be asked to pay the difference in price.

Refunds

No refunds can be made on Annual Passes.
