Archaeological Excavation for Children

Monday 23rd July – Friday 27th July

Take part in an archaeological excavation

As part of the national Festival of Archaeology Fringe Kim Biddulph, an archaeology expert, will be running an archaeological excavation for children aged 7+ next to our Iron Age roundhouse.

  • Morning sessions will run from 10.15am until 1.15pm
  • Afternoon sessions will run from 2pm until 5pm

Children can be left with the session leader for the duration of the sessions but parents must remain onsite at all times. Children are able to book onto as many sessions as they wish however if they are staying for both the morning and afternoon sessions parents will need to arrange to collect the children during the lunch hour of 1pm – 2pm as we offer no supervision during this time.

These sessions are suitable for children over 7 years.

Places on the sessions MUST be pre-booked. To book your sessions and find out more information please click here.
