These days are offered as informal learning days. We offer a series of drop-in activities throughout the day from 11 am until 3.30 pm. All activities are linked to a theme and there is no need to pre-book. Prices are the standard Museum entrance prices and all home educators are welcome. Annual Pass holders will be entitled to free entrance.
The content of this day will link with the National Festival of Archaeology.
Activities will run from 11 am – 3.30 pm
Learn about the game Nine Mens Morris, meet our costumed re-enactor in Leagrave cottage, discover archaeology with Kim Biddulph of schoolsprehistory.co.uk and explore objects with Brett Thorne County Archaeologist. Make pots and cave paintings, and take part in archaeology themed activities.
We will be running a second home education learning day on the 8th September with the theme Life on the Farm.
