Special Evening Events for Uniformed Groups

In 2018 we will be running two special late evening outdoor learning events specifically for uniformed groups. These will be held on the 23rd May and the 20th June from 5.30pm until 8.30pm. Tickets will cost £5 per person and places must be booked in advance as it will not be possible to allow entrance on either date without prior booking.

Activities will include: creating shelters, cooking over the fire in the Iron Age roundhouse, learning how people lived in the Iron Age and how ragrugs were made. Pond dipping will be available if the weather is kind and there will be opportunities to watch a blacksmith at work in our Victorian forge. You will have an opportunity to learn about the Arts Council England Arts Award programme and use our bespoke resource to begin a Discover level qualification. We will also be offering opportunities to make a beeswax candle at an additional cost of £1 per candle.

Please use our Education Contact Form to let us know you are interested in booking a place.

*UPDATE: both evenings are now fully booked.*

We will be offering identical programmes on both evenings.
