A few frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the Museum and visiting:
Do I need to book a place for events if I have an Annual Pass?
An Annual Pass allows you free entry to all of our events except night-time events and special fundraising events this will be clearly marked on the Events page.
We recommend you pre-book an Annual Pass ticket for our Halloween Spectacular and Enchanted Museum events where numbers a limited. For these two night-time events there is an additional £2.50 charge for child Annual Pass holders, tickets are free for adult Annual Pass holders.
Can I purchase an Annual Pass on the day/in the Ticket Office?
Yes and if you purchase on the day of your visit we will even refund your ticket price (excludes tickets purchased through external sources).
How do I book a mobility scooter?
We have two mobility scooters available and strongly recommend that you pre-book one before you visit. To make a booking please call the office on 01494 871 117 or email email@example.com.
What times are you open?
From 1st April March until 26 October 2017 we are open 7 days a week from 10 pm until 5 pm. Last admission is at 3.30 pm.
What time is the Tea Room open?
During week day term time the Tea Room is open from 11 am – 3 pm but may be opened outside of this hours if booked by a group. On weekends and term times the Tea Room is open from 11 am – 4.30 pm.
Is there a guide book I can purchase?
You can buy a family guide book at our ticket office for £3.50.
What kind of footwear is appropriate?
In wet weather the site can be muddy and slippery and some paths may be uneven, so please take care and wear supportive footwear suitable for the weather conditions.
Are there any aeroplanes?
We are an outdoor museum (‘open-air’) – we do not have any aeroplanes!
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we welcome dogs on site. They must be kept on a short lead at all times, and (except for assistance dogs) are not allowed into any of the buildings.
