Our May half term Terrific Tuesday is themed around the wonders of nature! Perfect for families and young explorers, this day is packed with hands-on activities, creative crafts, and outdoor adventures.

What's Happening?

Pond Dipping: Grab a net and discover the curious creatures living below the surface.

Storytelling in the Wild: Gather round for enchanting nature tales under the trees.

Tree Identification Walks: Learn how to spot and name local tree species.

Fabric Flower & Insect Art: Create beautiful fabric masterpieces inspired by nature’s tiniest wonders.

Clay Animal Modelling: Bring your favourite woodland creatures to life with clay.

Woodland Sculpture Trail: Explore our woodland willow sculptures hidden among the trees.

All activities are included within our admission price..

If you'd like to attend multiple Terrific Tuesdays and Museum events then you can purchase an Annual Membership which costs £38 for adults, £28 for children and family pass prices start from £66.

Event Information

  • With 45 acres at your disposal, there is plenty to explore, including woodlands and an exciting adventure playground

  • Dogs on short leads are welcome but must not go inside residential buildings

  • Light lunches, drinks, cakes and snacks are available to purchase from our Skippings Barn

  • Sensory backpacks are available to borrow (subject to availability)

  • Mobility scooters are available to borrow (subject to availability - pre-booking is advised)

  • Lots of free parking
