Getting here

The Museum is located within the Newland Park development. Look out for the large green Newland Park boarding which marks the entrance to the driveway. Chiltern Open Air Museum is on the left about 100m down the driveway.

By Car or Bike

We are close to several main routes and can be reached from the M25 at Junction 17. Follow the brown tourist signs to the Museum via Denham Way and Chalfont Road. The Museum is also signposted from the A413 at Chalfont St Peter and Chalfont St Giles.

We have a large car park with dedicated disabled parking. We have racks for securing bicycles.

By Train

The Chiltern Line from Marylebone or the Metropolitan Line from Baker Street to Chalfont & Latimer Station or Chorleywood Station are within short taxi rides of the Museum.

By Bus

There are no buses to Newland Park. The nearest bus stop, King's Road in Chalfont St Giles, is serviced by the 101, 104 and 106/107 routes and is around a 30-minute walk away.

Advice for Coach Drivers

The Museum is in a rural setting. The lane to the Museum from the Maple Cross direction is particularly narrow. We recommend that coaches approach from Chalfont St Peter, following the brown tourist signs. Turn off the A413 at Gravel Hill, continuing up Rickmansworth Lane. At the end of the road turn left onto Chesham Lane. Then, at the T-junction with Gorelands Lane, turn right. Newland Park is 400m along the lane, on your left-hand side.
