School Workshops

Our school programs, crafted by a skilled team of experts, cover a broad spectrum, including workshops in prehistory, history, English, and science. With a blend of costumed workshop leaders and dedicated actor educators remaining in character, we offer an immersive and engaging school learning experience.

Self-led Visits

We offer self-led resources to help you explore the beautiful woodland, traditional working farm, and historic buildings at your own pace.

School Visit Prices


Child: £9.00 per child (self-led visit)

Adult: One adult for every six children FREE of charge. In addition, one carer FREE for each child with special needs. Additional adults £12.00 each

    Literacy Workshops

    Our mission is to empower and excite young writers. Our programme is based on the Talk for Writing process and we invite children into the story context, bringing the characters and the settings to life for them.

    History Workshops

    The Museum provides an immersive history programme for schools. We offer children the opportunity to live past lifestyles inside our historic buildings and engage with activities essential to life in the past.

    We have an Iron Age roundhouse making us uniquely placed to provide an immersive prehistory programme for schools. We offer children the opportunity to engage with activities essential to life in the past.

    The Museum has a 45 acre site including woodlands, three ponds, a farm and over 30 historic buildings that are made out of a variety of materials, making it an excellent venue for a science school workshop.
