Barnett Waddingham Donate to Museum Tree Planting Project
Chiltern Open Air Museum recently welcomed a donation from leading UK professional services consultancy Barnett Waddingham towards our new tree planting project.
The Museum’s 45 acre site has approximately 17 acres of woodland. Due to serious issues with ash dieback a large part of its woodland walk is currently closed to visitors.
Over the coming months a programme of works to re-open the woodland will be starting, felling diseased trees and planting a new generation of native species – oak, beech, hornbeam, field maple, horse chestnut, wild cherry, wild service, resistant elm, yew and juniper trees. The Museum aims to plant 300 trees over the next two years at a cost of around £25,000.
You can help the Museum revitalise its woodland by donating to the tree planting project.
One hundred per cent of your donation will go towards the planting and maintenance of new trees at the Museum site. This can include the cost of the trees, tree guards, stakes, tools and mulch.
