Meet Flow and Romily - The Outside Dyers

In the lead up to our Heritage Crafts Weekend on 26 & 27 July, we’re meeting some of the talented craftspeople who will be demonstrating their skills at the event. Our second makers to meet are Flow and Romily - The Outside Dyers.

The Outside Dyers create hand dyed goods using natural dyes from plants and the wool from their flock of organic Shetland sheep. They offer unique naturally dyed socks, felted sheepskin rugs, dye plants, seeds and dyeing supplies. Join their eight day immersive course or short workshops to explore natural dyeing and the beauty of craft rooted in the land. At Chiltern Open Air Museum they will be demonstrating traditional dyeing techniques and weaving woollen cloth on a warp weighted loom.  Take a look at their website www.theoutside.org.uk for details of their workshops and long dying course.
