Halloween Spectacular: An Evening of Family Friendly Spooky Fun
5pm to 9pm 30 October 2026
Get ready for a night of frightful fun as the Halloween Spectacular returns to Chiltern Open Air Museum.
Explore the museum after dark as historic buildings are transformed with spooky decorations and eerie lighting.
Enjoy spine-tingling storytelling, keep an eye out for spooky horses, and warm yourself by the bonfire while toasting marshmallows. Brave the scary walk โ but beware of monsters lurking in the shadows!
Itโs Going to Be the Greatest Show
This year some of the activities will have a circus theme - see the ringmasterโs amazing fire performance and watch jugglers in the arena, brave the spooky walk and visit the Funhouse, if you dare!
Younger visitors (or those of a more sensitive disposition!) can enjoy the not-so-spooky walk in our enchanted woodland, listen to the Halloween Band and make crafts in the marquee to take home. Visit the cottages for trick or treating and toast marshmallows over the bonfire for a great family night out.
